TOOL: Maynard James Keenan e il suo progetto Puscifer
Il frontman dei TOOL e degli A PERFECT CIRCLE Maynard James Keenan ha pubblicato il seguente aggiornamento sul progetto PUSCIFER:

"Ok, iniziamo i giochi. E' passato un po' di tempo, e vi ringraziamo per la pazienza. Il singolo 'Cuntry Boner' è ora disponibile in pre-ordine esclusivamente sul sito http://www.puscifer.com e sarà spedito nella prima settimana di ottobre. Come promesso ci sarà molta altra musica in seguito. Stiamo completando il video di 'Queen B', che dovrebbe essere su iTunes nelle prossime settimane. Stiamo anche preparando un pre-release EP per iTunes chiamato 'Don't Shoot The Messenger'".

L'album di debutto dei PUSCIFER, intitolato "V Is For Vagina", sarà pubblicato il 30 ottobre su Puscifer Entertainment.

PUSCIFER: New EP Available On iTunes - Oct. 10, 2007
TOOL frontman Maynard James Keenan's PUSCIFER project has released a new EP on iTunes called "Don't Shoot the Messenger". It features the following track listing:

03. The Undertaker (Renholder Mix)
04. REV 22:20 (4:20 Mix)

PUSCIFER's video for the song "Queen B." can be viewed below. The track is also available for streaming in audio format at this location (Windows Media).

PUSCIFER's debut album, "V Is For Vagina", will be released an October 30 through Puscifer Entertainment.

Other songs set to appear on the CD include a cover of the CIRCLE JERKS' "World Up My Ass" and "Dojo".

"This is absolutely just put-it-on-and-move-your-butt -and-get-completely-out-of-your-head music," Keenan recently told MTV.com about the record. "This is purely body candy. It's meant to make you feel like I feel when I hear JAMES BROWN, when I hear some old JACKSON 5 or or ARETHA [FRANKLIN]. It's just that good feeling ? music that makes you feel good. There's no math. Nothing wrong with math, but sometimes, it can be exhausting to be that forced, that focused. I'm a big KING CRIMSON fan, but only when I have the energy to be. Sometimes I just want to hear GNARLS BARKLEY."

PUSCIFER is comprised of a revolving door of contributors, including multi-instrumentalist Danny Lohner; songstress Lisa Germano; TELEFON TEL AVIV's Joshua Eustis; Jonny Polonsky; PRIMUS' Tim Alexander; model Milla Jovovich; TOOL guitar tech Matt Mitchell; and dark ambient artist Lustmord.

So why this new project? "I'm on a mission," Keenan said. "I've been assigned to be the guardian of a highly classified, highly effective Sonic Weapon of Mass Disruption. This sonic technology when 'unleashed,' if you will, causes parts of the anatomy to vibrate uncontrollably. Not unlike when someone yawns, everyone in the surrounding area will be affected. If executed properly, the subjects will be temporarily distracted from their duties. Their bodies will appear to be abducted by the Soul Train, as if J-Lo were auditioning for the 'Thriller' video. Awe-inspiring. Don't speak a word of it."

Devo decidermi ad approfondire linglese!
Fatemi capire 'sto progetto musicale,vuol esser funk-soul (come J.Brown,Jackson 5 e A.Franklin),ma nello stesso tempo progressivo(King crimson).
Ci suonano Danny Lohner(ex-Screw e collaboratore per N.I.N.,Killing joke,Marilyn Manson,Filter e membro degli orridi Black light burns),Lisa Germano(acclamata cantautrice e polistromentista degli ambienti "alternative"),J.Eustis(dei Telefon Tel'Aviv,gruppo che suona I.D.M.,ovvero intelligent dance music),Jonny Popolonsky(che non so chi sia .....),Tim Alexander(ex-batterista dei Primus),la modella Milla Jovovich(????),il tecnico dei Tool e il genio della dark ambient Lustmord!
Sono realmente sconcertrato,manca solo Mike Patton.......!:scola:

TOOL frontman Maynard James Keenan's side project PUSCIFER is streaming its debut album, "V is for Vagina", in its entirety at this location. Due on October 30, the record features contributions from a number of artists, including PRIMUS drummer Tim Alexander, ex-NINE INCH NAILS member Danny Lohner, producer Alan Moulder and actress Milla Jovovich. The first single is called "Queen B." (view video below).

Maynard James Keenan recently told The Pulse of Radio that PUSCIFER has been around in one form or another since the early '90s, when a version of the outfit would perform at a Los Angeles comedy club. But Keenan said that PUSCIFER is much more than just another band to him. "Absolutely," he said. "This is much more of just a collaborative, creative outlet on all levels with various people, and hopefully with this new digital age, it'll be something that starts to kind of set a precedent for how other people work with other people, free from label contracts and just kind of express to express, and not really worry about taking over the world with it."

Keenan also has a merchandise company under the PUSCIFER banner, and plans to make several short films as part of the project.

TOOL will begin what could be its final tour in support of 2006's "10,000 Days" on November 14 in Austin, Texas.
