Michael Politz of The Vegas Eye reports that QUIET RIOT frontman Kevin DuBrow was found dead in his Las Vegas home on Sunday, November 25. According to Politz, DubRow ? whom Politz calls "one of my closest friends" ? recently celebrated his 52nd birthday in New Orleans "where he ate great food and even caught THE CULT at The House of Blues."

Although the band has yet to issue an official statement on the matter, bassist Kelly Garni, who was one of the founding members of QUIET RIOT, has posted the following message on the Randy Rhoads (late QUIET RIOT/OZZY OSBOURNE guitarist) web site RandyRhoads.tk:

"I ask this to all of you not only for myself but for other friends and family. I ask that no one here offer any speculation or opinions, theories or other things that could be construed as negative or, and I'm sorry for this, even sympathetic, right at this immediate time. I am already within hours of this having to deal with untrue rumors and speculation and that only adds fuel to that. There is a tendency for the subject of Kevin to incite flames on every board and now is not the time for that. I will explain to everyone here the facts and the truth in the next 24 to 48 hours as I realize this will effect us all. So please, until then, be patient. All details and other pertinate info will be passed on to you here when it becomes available to me. Thank you."

QUIET RIOT drummer Frankie Banali has confirmed the passing of the group's singer, Kevin DuBrow, at the age of 52. In an e-mail to Spain's The Metal Circus, which had requested a comment from Banali on the rumors of DuBrow's death, the drummer wrote, "Please respect my privacy as I mourn the passing and honor the memory of my dearest friend Kevin DuBrow."

In 2004, DuBrow recorded a collection of cover versions for his first solo album, "In for the Kill".

QUIET RIOT's latest studio CD, "Rehab", was released on October 3, 2006. The lineup on the album was Kevin DuBrow, Frankie Banali, Tony Franklin and Neil Citron. Legendary singer Glenn Hughes also made a guest vocal appearance on the LP.

BC's Las Vegas affiliate KTNV-TV reports: Police say after a distressed call from family members, QUIET RIOT lead singer Kevin DuBrow's next door neighbor and friend kicked down the door to find the 52-year-old dead.

Police say DuBrow had been dead for about six days before his body was discovered.

Lori Lee Samson, DuBrow's fiancée, was the last person to see him alive.

She says when days passed, she new something was wrong.

Among the collection of memories, Lori Samson will forever save DuBrow's last words.

"At 2:40 am Monday he texted me I love you so much," Samson says.

His death has sent shockwaves to fans and family.

Samson says she will cherish the last moments spent with him and her son.

She never knew the man she met years ago was a legendary rock star.

Still rocking into his 50s, they celebrated DuBrow's birthday just two weeks ago.

Samson says DuBrow performed for charities, growing more humble with age.

At 52 years old, QUIET RIOT's vocalist finally found the one.

The couple was supposed to appear on A&E for a roast of Gene Simmons.

The coroner's office is now investigating the exact cause of death.

Samson says something fans never knew is that alcohol was not allowed backstage at their concerts.

This was in support of band members' struggle with sobriety.

The Associated Press reports that the death last month of Kevin Dubrow, lead singer for the 1980s heavy metal band QUIET RIOT, has been ruled an accidental cocaine overdose.

Clark County coroner spokeswoman Samantha Charles confirmed the cause Monday (December 10) after toxicology results were received.

Dubrow was found dead Nov. 25 at his Las Vegas home. He was 52.

Tra l'altro leggere le dichiarazione di Glenn Hughes (uno che dal tunnel della droga è riuscito ad uscire)su DuBrow fa pensare...

Uppo per dare il mio saluto ad un'altra delle grandi voci del vero rock americano che purtroppo si è spenta. se ne è andato da rocker. Sarà triste e stupido ma è così. Keep on rocking!

con i loro dischi che noi come tanti altri ascoltano vivranno per sempre nei nostri cuori per le belle emozioni che ci hanno regalato.

Il rispetto per la morte rimane, il rispetto per la persona deve essere guadagnato.

Come reputo un coglione chi a 170 Km/h si ammazza in un incidente stradale, altrettanto penso di un cinquantenne che muore per un'overdose.

In ogni caso spiace, ma il fatto in sè rimane.
