Metal.it Forum

Il 2011 è terminato, è arrivato il fatidico momento di tirare le somme e di eleggere il disco dell'anno!
Le regole sono molto semplici, tanto che chiunque in questo forum può arrivare a capirle abbastanza tranquillamente.
Ogni utente può scegliere se stilare una top-10 o una top-5 di tutti gli album usciti nel 2011, purché facciano parte delle sezioni classic-extreme-contaminated. Ovviamente sono ammessi solo dischi da studio di materiale inedito.
La scelta fra top-10 o top-5 è assolutamente discrezionale: chi ha ascoltato parecchi dischi opterà per la prima scelta, mentre chiaramente per chi non ne ha ascoltati molti sarà più opportuna la top-5. Per chi dovesse trovare eccessiva anche la top 5 è ammessa la possibilità di votare anche meno di 5 album.
Direi di tenere aperte le votazioni per un paio di settimane, al termine delle quali verranno selezionati i 10 dischi che riceveranno più votazioni, che si scontreranno nell'attesissima, micidiale, poll finale!
L'assegnazione dei punti avviene nel seguente modo:
Top 10:
primi 3 album: 10 punti
da 4 a 7: 4 punti
da 8 a 10: 1 punto

Top 5:
primi 2 album: 10 punti
3 e 4: 4 punti
5: 1 punto

Per me il 2011 è stato un anno eccezionale, mi ritrovo a scegliere tra circa 50 dischi...
Ho fatto una selezione dei 10 che mi hanno colpito di più, ma le posizioni possono essere comunque interscambiabili:

1) DOOMSWORD - THE ETERNAL BATTLE (semplicemente immenso, l'epic metal nella sua dimensione più divina)
2) MASTODON - THE HUNTER (stupefacente)
3) MANILLA ROAD - PLAYGROUND OF THE DAMNED (come Doomsword, ci si inchina di fronte ai maestri)
4) HOUSE OF LORDS - BIG MONEY (un netto passo in avanti dopo Cartesian Dreams)
5) FAIR TO MIDLANDS - ARROWS AND ANCHORS (incredibile)
6) RHAPSODY - FROM CHAOS TO ETERNITY (e chi se lo sarebbe mai aspettato dai Rhapsody un disco così? Sorpresa dell'anno)
7) RIOT - IMMORTAL SOUL (ci sono mancati per troppo tempo, grandissimi)
8) TYR - THE LAY OF THRIM (un pelino sotto il precedente, ma forse più omogeneo)
9) AMON AMARTH - SURTUR RISING (non sbagliano un colpo)
10) JAG PANZER - THE SCOURGE OF LIGHT (resta il rammarico per lo scioglimento, abbiamo perso una gradissima band)

Restano purtroppo fuori, ma li cito per rendergli onore:
