Per me se avessero tagliato alcune parti, si parlerebbe di secondo capolavoro con Pornograffitti.
Dipende dai gusti, quì ne esce fuori l'anima pomposa e "progressiva" del gruppo, a discapito dell'energia (che cmq non manca) di P. Cmq da avere...

Non ho seguito i discorsi riguardo l'assolo di he man, cmq l'assolo del calabrone è di nuno (ed è in delay quindi molto più facile), il figlo di zappa suona gli assoli iniziali e finali nn l'intro del pezzo.

Resta il fatto che Nuno sia un chitarrista con un gusto eccezionale.

Vero, Zappa suona solo intro e outro ed il pezzo, visto dal vivo, non è così mostruoso come sembra. A me fa più paura Midnight express ed è anche meravigliosa:

Io trovo che III Sides, rispetto a Porno, è più completo e vario. Di contro è un pò prolisso. Quindi per me sono entrambi da avere.

Da non crederci, proprio l'altro giorno mi son ripreso lo spettacolare e sottovalutato III Side e Waiting, che cmq non mi ha mai convinto totalmente.
Finalmente si son decisi!!
Le brevi reunion di qualche anno fa, facevano ben sperare...ora c'è la conferma. Voglio delle date, se non in Italia, almeno in Europa.

Michael Marotta of BostonHerald.com reports that on Saturday, December 1, original EXTREME members Nuno Bettencourt, Gary Cherone, Pat Badger and new sticksman Kevin Figueiredo will take the stage at the Orpheum in Boston to blow the roof off the Boston Music Awards ? the first step to a 2008 world reunion tour and new album.

"We weren't gonna do it until we had a record out," Bettencourt told BostonHerald.com. "But (AEROSMITH drummer and the BMAs honorary chairman) Joey Kramer reached out to us. He wanted to make the BMAs special like they used to be, so we figured why not?"

The as-yet-untitled studio album with all-new material ? the band's fifth ? will drop sometime in spring 2008. A massive tour will follow, said Nuno.

Bettencourt described the new album as a "straight-up rock record" that expands on EXTREME's funk-metal sound.

The new album was the key to getting back together as a full-time band, he said. EXTREME did a handful of gigs this summer, including a gig at the Bank of America Pavilion in July, but Bettencourt wasn't interested in becoming a permanent part of a nostalgia act.

"Even though we wanted to do something for years, we had to have something new to offer," he said. "In the last six months we started writing some great songs. If they weren't, we wouldn't be doing this."

Original EXTREME drummer Paul Geary, who manages GODSMACK out in L.A., decided to opt out of the reunion, but there are no hard feelings.

"Paul's a manager now, he doesn't play much," Bettencourt said. "He knew straightaway he wasn't able to do it, (but) the blessing is definitely there."
