Stamani mi stavo riascoltando The scythe, e dato che il precedente thread è bloccato su metal.it, ho ben pensato di aprirne uno tutto nuovo per questa grandiosa band.

Il 12 aprile saranno al siddharta, io e white skull presenti.

Degli Elvenking posso solo dire tutto il bene possibile, li ritengo una delle migliori realtà del metal tricolore, meritevoli di ampio successo anche all'estero.
Per ragioni affettive mi sento ancora oggi legatissimo al debutto, ma anche gli album successivi (in particolar modo l'ultimo) sono tutti degni di nota.

a me piace parecchio anche "Wyrd", il secondo. C'era un altro cantante ma quasi quasi per certi versi lo preferivo a Damnagoras... sono curioso di sentirli in veste live

Il mio preferito rimane l'esordio "Heathenreel", che veramente nn so quante volte avrò ascoltato, a mio parere uno dei migliori dischi metal italiani.

Dopo sia Wyrd che Winter wake sono molto validi, ma con l'ultimo, The scythe, sono tornati veramente alla grande forse grazie anche ad una maggiore stabilità di formazione ottenuta negli ultimi anni nonostante l'abbandono di jarpen.

Meritano tutti, ma trovo che The Winter Wake sia l'album più completo e semplicemente bello della loro discografia.
Non c'è una canzone che sia brutta, sono tutte uniche a modo loro e hanno dei suoni azzeccatissimi.
Poi sono in ogni caso una band eccezionale, e lo dimostra il fatto che qua ognuno preferisca un album diverso.

News!!!

A proposito del futuro album acustico:

- This is going to be a full length album ? NOT an EP!! - and it?ll contain mostly new songs as if they were written for a new normal album. So no fillers, no recycled stuff; all the new material is being written in order to form the new songs of the new EK album ? even if this time it?ll be acoustic, it will be done with all the enthusiasm and the inspiration that always push Elvenking when it comes to songwrite and rehearse new material?and we can already tell you that this release will contain some real great songs for sure!. As usual it?s gonna be different from the previous ones and it will be closer to our acoustic, melodic and romantic side.

- As a gift to our fans, together with the new material we will re-arrange and re-record some songs coming from our previous works and maybe some other little surprises but still we have to decide most things about this section of the disc which will be in any case the smallest part!

A proposito del nuovo album "elettrico":

- Before embarking on this project we already started to work on the follower of ?The Scythe?. The acoustic album will put this work to a temporary stand-by, but as soon as we have closed the recordings, we will start working hard on the new ?electric? album since we have lots of ideas and the first songs we were writing were definitely a blast! The fans will probably have an acoustic album in their hands within the end of this year (this is not confirmed yet, but we are working in order to record the album on time) and a new ?normal album? the following year. We have really a lot of ideas and you?ll never get fillers from us! We are very excited about this new material and we wouldn?t release anything if we weren?t 100% satisfied. So between a gig and another we will work hard and the fans won?t regret it!

Io sto consumando ?The Scythe?; è uno dei dischi più belli che ho ascoltato negli ultimi tempi.

Il mio preferito è sempre il debut Heathenreel, ma l'ultimo gli va veramente vicino. Anche io lo ascolto ancora molto spesso e volentieri....

Invece io il primo è quello che apprezzo di meno. Adoro tutti gli altri: Wyrd, The Winter Wake e gli ultimi due.
