Meglio dei Creed.
Il cantate è qualcosa di immane. La canzone ke preferisco è "broken Wings"

Io, uno dei cd rock più belli che abbia mai sentito ultimamente, meglio di qualsiasi disco dei Creed.
Concordo, Myles Kennedy è veramente un drago, volevo andarli a vedere a Reggio Emilia ma non sono potuto andare per problemi di soldi, ancora piango.

Secondo me coi Creed siete troppo severi,erano una band con un approccio diverso e un vocalist come Stapp comportava inevitabilmente un approccio più soft a livello musicale.
Cmq anch'io trovo che One Day Remains sia un disco stupendo,invero poco considerato e concordo sul fatto che Myles kennedy sia un fenomeno,con la sua voce ogni brano viene ingigantito,mi sembra la fusione ideale di Cornell e Buckley.
Brani preferiti sicuramente Metalingus(la theme di Edge per chi tratta di wrestling)Burn It Down e Face The Real anche se è una scelta improba sono tutti bellissimi.
Io apprezzo molto anche i Nickleback trovo che The State,The Long Road e Silver Side Up siano dei grandissimi dischi,commerciali quanto volete ma pieni di belle canzoni.

se v piacciono gli alter bridge io vi consiglio anche l'album dei submersed prodotto da tremonti.....e presto escono i grandi seether!!!!

Gran bel disco davvero... meglio dei Creed, ma un gradino sotto i fantastici Mayfield Four, band dove militava Myles Kennedy, di fatto uno dei più grandi singer di questi ultimi dieci anni, il vero erede dei vari Vedder, Cornell e Buckley.
Recuperatevi i due dischi dei Mayfield 4, il secondo "Second Skin" è una autentica bomba, non un pezzo sotto tono, il meglio del post grunge/modern rock o come diavolo volete chiamarlo di questi ultimi anni.

Concordo sul recupero di entrambi i dischi dei Mayfield Four anche se trovo Second Skin solo buono non eccelso,molto meglio Fallout questo sì veramente granndioso sembra un disco di Buckley in versione hard rock!

Appena puoi procuratelo,come produzione e maturità compositiva non è al livello dei due successivi,ma è cmq pieno di grandi canzoni, Breathe e Leader Of Men su tutte,la prima settimana che l'ho comprato non ascoltavo altro!

Quoto tutto, avete citato tutti gruppi che mi piacciono molto, a parte i mayfield four che non conosco e di cui provvederò a scaricare la discografia.

Uhm nn sono d'accordo Second Skin è una bomba (tra l'altro è prodotto da Peter Collins, e scusate se è poco!), sicuramente diverso da Fallout, su cui convergo sulla definizione "Buckley goes hard rock"

Bhe no, capisco che possono non piacere ma a me fanno impazzire per vari motivi, le melodie che pur quanto orecchiabili sono molto belle, la voce di Chad Kroger che è bellissima e la superproduzione megapompona che mi manda in estasi.

Sicuramente Peter Collins ha fatto un buon lavoro(anch'io lo stimo molto dato che ha prodotto uno dei miei dischi favoriti dei Rush,Hold Your Fire);ma la qualità dei brani non è omogenea:voglio dire dopo delle bombe come Sick And Wrong,Loose Cannon,Mars Hotel, ti becchi canzoncine un pò mediocri come Lyla e High che non dicono molto,poi il disco rimane molto bello ma lo trovo inferiore a Fallout.

Concordo appieno,soprattutto i loro dischi sono suonati e prodotti in maniera molto live,ma con degli arrangiamenti curatissimi e poi hanno un groove che ho sentito raramente nei gruppi rock moderni. Anche se su The State la superproduzione megapompona è un pò carente,peccato,perchè alla lunga lo penalizza...
A proposito anch'io dovevo andare a vedere gli Alter Bridge a Reggio Emilia ma all'ultimo ho dovuto rinunciare per lavoro:peccato perchè mi hanno detto che hanno sputato sangue ed hanno fatto pure una cover di Rock N roll dei Led Zeppelin da paura! A proposito in giro ci dovrebbe essere un inedito degli Alter Bridge (Save Me) che proviene da una colonna sonora cercatelo che ne vale la pena,così come i 3 bonus della versione digipack di The Long Road dei Nickelback,mannagia a me che non l'ho comprata...

I Seether son curioso di sentirli anche perchè ci suona la batteria Phillips degli Alter Bridge,quanto ai Submersed li sto ascoltando e il loro In Due time mi sta prendendo vediamo se continua così...

After their split with Wind-Up Records, ALTER BRIDGE has been shopping for a new label and producer. In online posts, Michael Tremonti, brother of ALTER BRIDGE guitarist Mark Tremonti and official fan liason, informed fans on the message board at AlterBridgeBand.net that the band has indeed found that new label, but is "waiting for the ink to dry" on the contracts before the news can be released. With news of their return to the studio, it's apparent that they've found their producer as well.

Fans who were lucky enough to catch the band's limited tour in 2006 had the chance to get a sneak preview of some of the band's new songs. "Come To Life", "Buried Alive", and "Ties That Bind" (also known by the working title "Bitch Slap") have been heard in early incarnations, but it is not yet known if any (or all) of these songs will make the new album.

The group's sophomore effort, currently known only by the working title "Alter Bridge II", is tentatively slated for a late summer or fall 2007 release.

Alcuni dei brani del nuovo cd sono già stati eeguiti dal vivo e promettono moolto bene,questo è un cd che attendo col fiato sospeso...cmq in tema di band ispiratrici degli Alter,sembra che dopo il cd solista di Cornell che uscirà a maggio i Soundgarden si riformeranno non per un tour ma pare per un nuovo cd odio le reunion ma spero di essere smentito dai fatti....sempre in tema di alternative sui generis ascoltatevi i Bokor cercateli su myspace, troverete il definitivo incrocio tra tool,soundgarden e progressive...

cmq It was announced on May 11th 2007 (by Michael Tremonti on the alterbridge.net forums), that the recording of the album was complete and they are now in the mixing stages.

The members of ALTER BRIDGE have announced they have signed an agreement to release their next album on Universal Republic Records. This brand new album is scheduled to be released this fall.

"We're very excited about beginning this chapter in our lives and career,"
commented Grammy Award-winning songwriter and guitarist Mark Tremonti. "Universal Republic is a perfect home for us and we're excited that our fans are going to get to hear all the new songs we've been working on for quite some time really soon. The material we've been working on is really aggressive and I think it's the best work we've ever done. We can't wait to get back in front of our loyal fans later this year."

"We're thrilled to be partnering up with ALTER BRIDGE," stated Monte Lipman, President of Universal Republic Records. "They're an incredible band with a strong vision that we share together. When Tom (Mackay, SVP A&R) and I met with the group, we knew instantly this is the type of talented people we'd want to be in business with."

ALTER BRIDGE's Universal Republic debut will be the follow up to their debut album, the gold-certified "One Day Remains", which debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart in its first week of release. The album featured three consecutive hits on rock radio: ("Open Your Eyes", "Find The Real" and "Broken Wings"). Comprised of Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, Brian Marshall and Myles Kennedy, three of the four members of ALTER BRIDGE made up the 30-plus-million-selling band CREED.

The recording of the new album was completed in Nashville, TN last month with famed producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette (INCUBUS, CHEVELLE, THREE DAYS GRACE). The band has also brought on a new management team, with Paul Geary and Steve Wood for Azoff Music Management taking the reigns.

ALTER BRIDGE has kept a conspicuously low profile in the United States since a brief tour in October of 2005. The band toured Europe during the summer and fall of 2005 and the summer of 2006 performing at mostly festival shows with the likes of METALLICA, TOOL, GUNS N' ROSES, ALICE IN CHAINS, AUDIOSLAVE, VELVET REVOLVER, and BLACK SABBATH.

The band will be hitting the road upon the release of their second album this fall. Touring details and more information on the new album will be released at a later date.
